Job Description:
Summary*This Payroll Assistant role has been created to provide additional support through a particularly busy year-end period.
*The role would suit a payroll professional with hands-on IRIS Cascade experience who can hit the ground running and support an existing payroll function.
Our Client
Our client is a well-established membership-based organisation operating within the professional services space. They have a collaborative culture and a well-structured finance function.
The Role
Reporting into the Payroll Manager and working alongside another Payroll Assistant, this role will focus on supporting payroll delivery during year-end. Key aspects include:
*Supporting the payroll team through year-end processing
*Working with IRIS Cascade on day-to-day payroll activities
*Assisting with increasing payroll volumes as the organisation grows
Main Duties*Processing and supporting monthly payroll using IRIS Cascade
*Assisting with year-end payroll duties and reconciliations
*Managing payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
*Supporting onboarding of new employees onto payroll
*Working closely with the Payroll Manager and wider finance team
The Successful Candidate*Proven experience working within a payroll function
*Essential experience using IRIS Cascade
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure during peak periods
*Confident communicator who works well as part of a small payroll team
What’s on offer?*Salary: £35,000 per annum (FTC) or day rate of circa £130 per day
*Contract length: 3 months
*Working pattern: Office-based 2 days per week
*Start: Immediate – interviews taking place Thursday, start next week
This role has arisen due to additional workload during year-end and offers an excellent opportunity to support a busy payroll function during a critical period.
