Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Dudley area on a flexible hour basis. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of the future generation. The role will start in April / May 2026.
The role involves working three days a week, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The primary school follows a two-form entry system and offers a well-rounded curriculum in a joyful learning environment. Led by an enthusiastic team, the school focuses on nurturing curiosity and fostering the development of pupils’ passions and interests.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a basic understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. The ideal candidate should be adept at providing support to children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them reach their full potential. Having a patient and nurturing nature will be required for this role.
Responsibilities
*Assist in the development and implementation of educational activities for young children, focusing on early childhood education principles.
*Provide support to children with special needs, including those with autism, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
*Tutor and mentor students, fostering their academic and social growth.
*Communicate effectively with teachers and parents to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
*Maintain a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
