We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at Whipsnade Zoo
As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in delivering freshly prepared food to the thousands of guests who visit Whipsnade Zoo each year. Working with experienced chefs, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a busy hospitality environment.

What you’ll be doing
*Assisting with food preparation across a range of menu items
*Supporting chefs during busy service periods
*Maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
*Learning kitchen systems, recipes, and service procedures
*Helping with deliveries, stock rotation, and basic kitchen organisation
What we’re looking for
*A passion for food and willingness to learn
*Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
*A positive attitude and strong team ethic
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Flexibility to work weekends and peak visitor periods
