Pastoral Manager - Liverpool
Full Time | Term Time Only | Temp to Perm
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 24-29 (pro rata)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (8:00am - 4:00pm)
Tradewind Recruitment Liverpool are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary academy to recruit an experienced and passionate Pastoral Manager to join their dedicated support staff team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed individual who is driven to improve student outcomes through strong pastoral care, attendance strategies, and behaviour support.
The RoleAs a Pastoral Manager, you will take responsibility for the attendance, behaviour and welfare of a designated cohort of students. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning, promoting positive engagement, and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities*Lead on attendance and punctuality strategies for your cohort, working closely with senior leaders
*Monitor daily attendance and implement targeted interventions where concerns arise
*Conduct home visits and welfare checks where necessary
*Promote positive behaviour and high standards across the school
*Support students’ wellbeing and act on student voice feedback
*Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
*Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and overall student welfare
*Maintain accurate records and contribute to improvement planning
What We’re Looking For*Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, or attendance-focused role within education
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Ability to manage challenging situations with confidence and empathy
*A proactive approach to improving attendance and student engagement
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
