About the Role
You will assist fee earners with residential conveyancing matters, supporting the team’s continued success and helping maintain its reputation for exceptional client service. This role offers exposure to all stages of the conveyancing process, from exchange of contracts through to completion and post-completion work.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage residential property files with minimal supervision, particularly from exchange to completion.
*Handle post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications and SDLT returns.
*Order and review conveyancing searches (local authority, drainage, environmental).
*Prepare and issue fee notes and invoices to clients.
*Compile and organise contract packs and transaction documents.
*Act as the initial point of contact for client calls, providing updates or taking messages.
*Liaise with accounts to monitor payments and balances.
*Complete administrative tasks such as scanning, photocopying, and archiving files.
Experience & Attributes Required
*Previous experience in a legal environment, ideally within residential conveyancing.
*Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident with IT systems.
*Flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
