Job Description:
We are working with a school in Chelsea who are seeking a friendly, organised and professional Admin Officer to support the front office function. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school’s administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities*Acting as the first point of contact at the school reception, welcoming visitors and managing sign-in procedures
*Answering and directing telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
*Managing general email inboxes and responding to routine enquiries
*Supporting attendance administration, including recording late arrivals and absences
*Maintaining accurate pupil, staff and visitor records
*Liaising with parents, staff and external stakeholders as required
*Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
*Providing general administrative support to the school office team
*Assisting with diary management, room bookings and meeting arrangements
*Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Person Specification*Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
*Professional, calm and approachable manner
*Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
*This role is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
Location: Chelsea, London
Hours: Full-time, on-site
Pay Rate: £18 per hour
Contract: 2 months temporary
