Job Description:
A global investment bank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join their UK HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad, hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle within a regulated, fast-paced financial services environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with both local and group stakeholders and gain exposure to HR operations, payroll, reporting, recruitment, and HR projects. This role is ideally suited to someone who is confident working with data, enjoys working with people, and is keen to develop a career in HR within a complex, multi-layered organisation.
The intern position is based in the City of London and will be an initial 12-month fixed term contract, the salary for the role is £35,000 + benefits.
Key Responsibilities
As an HR Analyst Intern, your responsibilities will include:
*Administering HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in HR systems and completed end-to-end
*Supporting monthly payroll, benefits, and pension processes in collaboration with Finance and external providers
*Assisting with recruitment activities and managing the onboarding process for new joiners
*Coordinating employee offboarding processes
*Acting as a key link between HR and Finance, producing accurate monthly reports
*Leading cyclical head office and group reporting requirements
*Owning training and development administration, including management of the training budget and external vendors
*Supporting annual HR processes such as appraisal cycles and compensation reviews
*Maintaining and updating local HR policies in line with company updates and UK legislative changes
*Recording and managing the payment of HR-related invoices


About You
Essential Requirements:
*Good standard of education
*Demonstrable HR experience within a small HR team in a fast-paced environment
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate work to deadlines
*Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
*Proactive, reliable and committed with a strong willingness to support the wider team
*Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
*Degree in Business, HR Management or related discipline
*CIPD part-qualified
*Exposure to payroll, finance, or HR reporting
*Understanding of payroll, tax and pension concepts
*French language skills (written and/or spoken)
