The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Modelling Director (or established Partner) to join a high-growth advisory firm and build, lead and scale a national Financial Modelling & Data Analytics capability.
This is not a standard leadership role.
This is a genuine platform build, offering the autonomy, infrastructure and deal flow to create a market-leading service line, with direct access to private equity, lenders and corporate clients.
You will combine:
*Technical excellence in financial modelling
*Commercial ownership and revenue generation
*Team leadership and capability building


Key Responsibilities
Build & Lead the Offering
*Design and deliver complex financial models across:
*M&A (buy-side, sell-side, refinancing)
*Operational improvement and turnaround (incl. 13-week cash flow)
*Project finance and long-term forecasting
*Valuation (DCF, multiples)
*Develop modelling and analytics as both:
*Standalone revenue streams
*Integrated solutions across transactions and restructuring


Drive Revenue & Commercial Growth
*Own and grow a profitable modelling & analytics service line
*Generate revenue via:
*Private equity relationships
*Portfolio company engagements
*Cross-selling into existing mandates
*Develop scalable revenue models:
*Subscription-based modelling
*Retainer-led analytics and dashboarding
*Lead pipeline development, pricing and deal conversion


Build & Develop a High-Performance Team
*Recruit, mentor and scale a best-in-class modelling team
*Implement:
*Robust modelling standards
*Training programmes for junior talent
*Quality control frameworks
*Act as a visible leader and culture carrier


Innovate in Data Analytics
*Develop modern analytics capabilities:
*Interactive dashboards
*KPI frameworks and data visualisation
*Evaluate and implement tools such as:
*Power BI / visualisation platforms
*Excel modelling toolkits
*Automation (e.g. Python where appropriate)


Collaborate Across the Business
*Work closely with Transaction Services and Corporate Finance teams
*Play a key role in:
*Cross-selling
*Strategic growth initiatives
*Firm-wide leadership


Candidate Profile
Proven Financial Modelling Leader
*Extensive experience building complex financial models, with a strong track record in:
*Revenue generation
*Winning and developing client relationships
Commercial & Entrepreneurial
*Demonstrated ability to build and scale offerings
*Comfortable owning revenue targets and pipeline
Leadership Experience
*Experience developing and managing teams
*Passion for mentoring and building high-performance cultures
Technical & Analytical Strength
*ACA / CA (or equivalent)
*Exposure to data analytics / visualisation tools advantageous
Sector Background
*Mid-market advisory, Big 4 or equivalent
*Experience working with private equity-backed clients highly desirable
