Role: Product Compliance and Quality Control Coordinator
Location: Middleton
Salary: £35,000 pro rata
Hours of work: our client is offering flexible hours within a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 framework, allowing you to choose how those 30 hours fit best.
We are excited to be recruiting for a brand-new, part-time role (30 hours per week) on behalf of our client who are a growing import business! They are creating a dedicated compliance specialist position to ensure their products meet GPSR, WEEE, and packaging compliance standards. This part-time role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to shape a vital function in a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
*Monitor and ensure compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and other relevant UK and EU regulations.
*Manage and maintain technical files and documentation for all products.
*Coordinate and oversee quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
*Ensure compliance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations and proper disposal of electronic waste.
*Oversee packaging compliance, ensuring that packaging materials meet environmental regulations and are properly labelled.
*Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that products meet all necessary standards before shipment.
*Stay updated on changes to regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
*Prepare and submit necessary reports and certifications to authorities.




Qualifications:


*Previous experience in product compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
*Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations (GPSR, WEEE, packaging, etc.).
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Good communication skills for working with suppliers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.




Desirable Attributes:


*Familiarity with other compliance areas like RoHS, CE marking, and environmental regulations.
*Experience with product testing and certification processes.
