Teaching Assistant Opportunities for Psychology Graduates
Start Date: September | Location: Blackburn
Are you a psychology graduate looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in an educational setting? We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Blackburn, starting this September, supporting children with additional needs.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will involve both one-to-one and small group support, helping students to engage with learning and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide individualised support to pupils with additional needs
*Assist in implementing personalised learning plans
*Support classroom activities and behaviour management strategies
*Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
*Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
What We’re Looking For:
*A degree in Psychology (or a related field)
*A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Patience, empathy, and adaptability
*Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (preferred but not essential)
