Paraplanner (Level 4 Qualified)Hertford | Full-time | £50,000 – £60,000 + Excellent Benefits
We are currently working with a well-established, client-focused financial planning firm based in Hertford to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and ethically driven individual who is looking to play a key role in supporting advisers within a collaborative and professional environment.
The RoleAs a Paraplanner, you will work closely with the firm’s advisers, providing comprehensive technical support across a broad range of financial planning areas.
Responsibilities will include:
*Conducting detailed research to support client recommendations
*Performing tax calculations across various planning scenarios
*Preparing high-quality, fully compliant suitability reports (beyond standard cases such as Bed & ISA and fund switches)
*Supporting advisers across pensions, investments, and inheritance tax planning
*Contributing to the ongoing development of client strategies
This role requires someone who can work independently while also being an integral part of a close-knit team.
About You*Level 4 Diploma qualified (essential)
*Proven experience in a paraplanning role within financial services
*Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning
*High ethical standards and attention to detail
*Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
*Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
Technical skills:
*Proficient in Intelligent Office (essential)
*Experienced with FE Analytics (essential)
*Familiarity with Genovo (preferred)
The Firm*Boutique financial planning firm with 4 advisers
*Expertise across pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning, and employee benefits
*Clients include private individuals, limited companies, and charities
*Business generated exclusively through referrals and professional connections
Salary & Benefits*Basic salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
*Christmas bonus
*Tax-free bonuses up to £3,600 per annum via Employee Ownership Trust
*7% employer pension contributions (band earnings)
*Group life assurance
*Income protection scheme
Working Arrangement*Office based in Hertford
*Hybrid working available (typically 1 day per week from home)
*During the first 6 months, a stronger office presence is expected to support onboarding and integration
