This Audit Manager role provides exposure to a broad client base, including complex groups, entrepreneurial businesses, and not-for-profit organisations. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, gaining visibility and the chance to influence key decisions while continuing to build your leadership profile within the accountancy profession.
The OpportunityAs an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio while supporting the wider team in delivering high-quality audit and advisory services. The role offers a blend of technical challenge, client interaction, and leadership responsibility within a collaborative accountancy environment in Manchester.
What you’ll be doing*Leading end-to-end audit assignments across a varied client portfolio
*Managing timelines, budgets, and overall delivery to ensure quality and efficiency
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
*Reviewing audit work and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
*Supporting and mentoring junior and part-qualified team members
*Collaborating with internal teams including tax and advisory specialists
*Contributing to ad-hoc projects and specialist assignments
What we’re looking for*ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit or general practice background
*Solid technical knowledge, including FRS 102 (IFRS exposure beneficial)
*Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering audits
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams
*Commercial awareness and confidence when dealing with senior stakeholders
*Experience with accounting and audit software packages is advantageous
What’s on offer*Salary: £58,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)
*Hybrid working - up to three days working from home
*35-hour working week with flexibility around core hours
