Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.
On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Team Leader - Financial Services for a 6 Month contract based in Newcastle.
Job Description - The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Front Line Manager supports and guides a team of colleagues who help serve our customers. The main focus of the role is to help the team meet agreed targets and deliver good customer outcomes.
Responsibilities of the role:
*Support and guide a team of colleagues in their day-to-day work
*Help the team achieve customer and team goals
*Hold regular Check-In meetings with each colleague (at least once every quarter)
*Use Check-Ins to discuss performance, wellbeing, and progress against team goals
*Help colleagues set personal goals linked to their role or future career plans
*Encourage and support colleagues to work towards their goals
*Use the OurPerformance tool to record discussions, actions, and progress
*Promote a positive focus on wellbeing and teamwork
What we require from the candidate:
*Basic understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements
*Awareness of Quality Assurance processes and tools
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Ability to identify problems and suggest practical solutions
*Clear verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to understand and explain information and data Understanding of the mortgage customer journey
*Organised and able to manage own workload
*Basic understanding of work planning and resource management
*Awareness of risk management policies and procedures
