Teaching Assistant

*Working Hours: 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM
We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a local primary school in Burnley. This role involves working within a Year 1 class, supporting the development and learning of young children. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping children achieve their full potential and ready to start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in preparing the classroom environment, setting up necessary materials and equipment.
*Support the teacher in delivering educational activities and engaging students in learning.
*Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
*Provide individual support to students, tailored to their educational needs and personal development.
*Assist with the supervision of students during non-classroom times, including lunch and recess.
*Participate in and support school events and activities.
*Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
*Experience working with Year 1 students or in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
*Strong understanding of the educational needs and welfare of young children.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a classroom teacher.
