Our client, a highly regarded US law firm, has an opening for an experienced International Manager of Accounting to oversee accounting operations for their global, non-US entities. This senior role plays a key part in ensuring accurate international financial reporting, compliance with local and global accounting standards and the smooth operation of cross-border finance activities.
Working closely with regional finance teams, external auditors, and senior leadership, you will ensure robust financial controls, timely reporting, and continuous improvement across international accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
International Financial Reporting
*Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for international subsidiaries
*Ensure compliance with applicable local and international accounting standards
Global Accounting Operations
*Manage month-end and year-end close processes for international entities
*Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions across regions
*Ensure accurate foreign currency accounting and translation
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
*Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
*Coordinate with international auditors and regulatory bodies
*Maintain strong internal controls and support audit processes
Leadership & Collaboration
*Supervise international accounting staff and external service providers
*Partner with regional finance leaders to enhance financial processes
*Provide training on global accounting policies and procedures
Process Improvement
*Identify opportunities to streamline and standardise global accounting processes
*Support accounting system enhancements, ERP implementations and upgrades
Qualifications & Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
*ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
*7–10+ years’ accounting experience, ideally within a multinational environment
*Proven experience managing accounting across multiple countries
*Strong understanding of international accounting standards and consolidations
Skills & Competencies
*Expertise in global financial reporting and consolidations
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to lead cross-cultural teams and communicate across time zones
*Advanced knowledge of 3E
Desirable
*Experience with international tax and transfer pricing
*Ability to manage complex global audits
*Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
