We’re partnering with a high-profile transport business to hire a Procurement Manager reporting directly into the Procurement Director. This is a high-visibility, generalist role with real ownership across multiple spend categories, particularly engineering.


What you’ll be doing
*Owning end-to-end sourcing activity across a broad spend portfolio, with a key focus on engineering
*Acting as a true business partner to senior stakeholders - challenging, influencing, and driving better commercial decisions
*Leading complex tenders, negotiations, and supplier selection processes
*Using spend data and insight to shape strategy, not just report on it
*Driving supplier performance and building relationships that deliver long-term value
*Working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Safety, and Projects to ensure robust, compliant procurement delivery
*Identifying and delivering continuous improvement across procurement processes and supplier base
*Supporting sustainability and cost optimisation initiatives across the business
What we’re looking for
*A commercially sharp procurement professional who operates confidently in a fast-paced environment
*Strong generalist procurement experience, with exposure to engineering or technical categories
*Proven track record of running tenders and negotiating meaningful commercial outcomes
*Someone who can manage complexity, prioritise effectively, and deliver under pressure
*A confident communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
*Analytical mindset - comfortable turning data into actionable insight
*High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
