Academics, a trusted supply agency proudly supporting local schools for over 15 years, is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Congleton.
The Role
You will be working full time in a Reception classroom, supporting the class teacher and helping pupils settle into school life. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm for the duration of the summer Term.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
*Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
*Supporting learning through play and continuous provision
*Helping children develop social skills, confidence, and independence
*Working closely with the teacher to create a safe, engaging environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who:*Has experience working with young children (school or nursery experience desirable)
*Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic about early years education
*Has a good understanding of EYFS (preferred but not essential)
*Is reliable and committed to a full-time role
*Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
