Reed Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and well-established primary school in the Wakefield area to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage Two pupils on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being actively involved in learning and making a real difference during a crucial stage of primary education.
The role:You will work closely with teachers across Key Stage Two, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. The role will include:
*Supporting learning across core subjects, particularly English and Maths
*Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support progress and attainment
*Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and engaged in lessons
*Supporting behaviour positively and consistently
*Assisting with classroom routines and contributing to a calm, productive learning environment
We are looking for someone who:*Has current, relevant experience working in a primary school (KS2 experience is essential)
*Holds a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2, Level 3 or equivalent)
*Is confident supporting pupils with varying needs and abilities
*Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Is reliable, proactive and committed to making a difference
