The Role
This is a contract outside IR35 role working on a project involving designing a range of turbomachinery related components.


Key Responsibilities:
*Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX.
*Generate engineering drawings.
*Perform engineering design calculations eg Perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
*Preparation of engineering design reports.
*Engage with suppliers and lead design for manufacturing activities.
*Ensure designs meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.


Required qualifications and experience:
*Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
*Experience designing turbomachinery, particularly blades/turbines.
*Experience using BS8888 and/or ASME Y14.5
*Proficiency in NX software is essential.
*Strong skills in mechanical calculations and GD&T are essential.
*Experience designing turbomachinery or related components is essential.
*Experience using Teamcenter, or similar PLM systems.
*Good communication skills with the ability to work in a small team as a self-starter.
