We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead the Court of Protection Team within this prestigious firm, based in the heart of Canterbury

Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the management of the Court of Protection Team, including the development of processes, creation of manuals, and supervision of staff.
*Manage client affairs through Deputyship appointments and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), including client visits as required by the Office of the Public Guardian.
*Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and adherence to Deputy Standards.
*Liaise with financial institutions, medical professionals, care providers, and social services.
*Prepare and reconcile client files and bank statements, and manage annual returns for Deputies.
*Administer Wills, LPAs, and Inheritance Tax planning.
*Handle complex estates involving domestic and international property and tax issues.
*Engage in marketing and networking to further develop the department’s profile.
Requirements:
*Extensive experience in Court of Protection work, private client services, and probate matters.
*A proven track record in managing and developing teams.
*Strong knowledge of financial management for clients, including investments and benefits claims.
*Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and professional bodies.
*Commitment to client service excellence and continuous professional development.
