About the OpportunityOur client is a well-established food manufacturing and distribution business with a strong presence across the UK. They are now looking for a commercially driven Account Manager to join their Food Service team, playing a pivotal role in growing and managing a portfolio of key accounts.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a real impact. You will be responsible for developing new business whilst nurturing and growing existing customer relationships within the food service sector.
Key Responsibilities*Drive new business development within the food service sector
*Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
*Coordinate sales activity to maximise revenue with both new and existing customers
*Agree, review and maintain customer contracts to ensure compliance
*Monitor and action credit control in line with company policy
*Analyse sales figures and account data to provide meaningful commercial insight
*Monitor and deliver agreed budgets in collaboration with the Commercial Controller
*Continually review product margins and stay abreast of sector developments
*Liaise with customer service, technical and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel across the customer base
*Manage all account activity including pricing, logistics, complaints, samples and reporting
*Attend industry events, trade shows and other functions as required
About You*Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
*Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data
*Committed to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations
*Sound commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach to identifying new opportunities
*Ideally an understanding of the food service sector and knowledge of relevant product ranges
*A positive, energetic personality with real determination and passion
The Package*Salary of £60,000
*Company car
*Performance-related bonus
*Remote working with regular monthly office days
