Quality Manager – Up to £50,000 Per Annum – Swadlincote
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm


Macildowie has exclusively partnered with a manufacturing business based in Swadlincote to recruit a Quality Manager.
The key objectives are to lead and develop the quality function, which includes ensuring that products and processes meet internal standards, customer expectations and regulatory requirements
Main Responsibilities


*Lead and manage the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards).
*Develop, implement and maintain quality policies, procedures and processes.
*Oversee internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
*
*Manage non-conformance processes, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
*Monitor and report on key quality metrics and KPIs.
*Work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to ensure quality is embedded across operations.
*Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
*Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
*Develop and mentor the quality team, promoting best practices and professional development.
*Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations as they relate to quality.
The Candidate
*Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality role within manufacturing or engineering.
*Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and auditing processes .
*Experience with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
*Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
*Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
