Large, established UK headquartered group with an increasingly international footprint. The business operates across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions and continues to grow in scale and complexity.
As part of the ongoing development of the Group Finance function, they looking to appoint a Statutory Reporting Manager to strengthen external reporting, technical accounting and audit delivery across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this role will take ownership of statutory reporting and IFRS based financial statements for a portfolio of group entities. The position offers broad exposure across technical accounting, external audit management and group reporting within a complex, multinational environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice trained accountant looking to make a first move into industry while remaining close to technical accounting and high-quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities*Lead the end to end statutory reporting process for assigned legal entities, including preparation, review and filing of statutory accounts
*Prepare and review IFRS financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and Group accounting policies
*Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, managing audit delivery, timelines and issue resolution
*Provide technical accounting support across the Group, including complex areas such as revenue recognition, leases, impairments, provisions and acquisitions
*Draft and review technical accounting papers and support accounting policy development
*Support month end close activities relating to complex accounting areas and balance sheet reviews
*Work closely with consolidation, tax, treasury, legal and shared service teams to ensure accurate and complete reporting
*Contribute to process improvement and standardisation across statutory reporting and governance
Key Skills preferred
*Big 4 trained accountant with experience in external audit and/or technical accounting
*Strong working knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
*Experience working with large, complex or multinational groups
*Comfortable managing external audits and engaging with senior stakeholders
*Likely to be a newly promoted Manager or high performing Assistant Manager ready for the next step
*Typically 5–7 years’ experience, looking to make a first move from practice into industry
