Management Accountant

*Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
Join a well-established, growing organisation as a Management Accountant. This pivotal position is designed for a finance professional who thrives on supporting business performance and decision-making through expert management accounting.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare, analyse, and present monthly management accounts, including variance and risk reporting.
*Own month-end timetables and core financial controls, ensuring accurate and up-to-date transactional data.
*Consolidate subsidiary management accounts and liaise with key internal stakeholders.
*Support budgeting and forecasting, including budget variance analysis and maintenance of forecasting models.
*Develop and report short-term cashflow forecasts.
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns under MTD.
*Act as a key contact for external advisors during corporation tax work.
*Support year-end processes, including audit preparation and statutory reporting.
*Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.
*Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified finance professional with strong management accounting experience.
*Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
*Confident working to deadlines, managing conflicting priorities while maintaining accuracy.
*Comfortable working with a range of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
*Able to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
*Integrity-driven, taking ownership and accountability for your work.
*Previous experience supervising or developing others would be advantageous.
