SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bolton, Manchester
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour
We are working with a number of primary schools in Bolton who are looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, and communication challenges. You’ll work closely with class teachers and other professionals to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs.
*Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
*Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
*Support pupils with sensory, physical, and communication needs.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes.
*Personal care may be required.
About You
*Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
