Job Description:
Are you a solid Finance Professional with experience in Sales Ledger or Credit Control who wants more than just another finance role?

We’re working with a growing social housing provider in Greater Manchester that genuinely makes a difference. They’ve built a strong, collaborative finance team and are now looking for someone to play a key role within it, supporting the smooth running of the sales ledger function.

This isn’t a siloed role. You’ll be part of a team that works closely together, supports each other, and takes pride in getting things right.

The Role

You’ll be a key part of the finance team, supporting invoicing and credit control across non-rental income streams, helping ensure cash is collected efficiently and processes remain robust.

It’s hands-on, varied, and gives you exposure across the wider finance function - ideal if you like being involved rather than boxed into one task.

What you’ll be doing
*Raising and issuing sales invoices for void fees and office rentals
*Processing recharge invoices for repairs
*Managing credit control processes - chasing, resolving, escalating where needed
*Allocating incoming payments accurately
*Supporting VAT recovery processes
*Handling customer and appointee queries professionally and sensitively
*Monitoring credit balances and arranging refunds
*Applying annual invoice uplifts in line with agreements
*Supporting income processes including direct debits and standing orders
*Assisting with recovery of underpaid rent and utilities
*Maintaining GDPR compliance at all times
*Supporting colleagues and wider finance activities as needed

About you

*Experience in Sales Ledger and/or Credit Control
*Comfortable working with Excel and financial data
*High attention to detail - you spot what others miss
*Confident communicator - able to handle sensitive conversations well
*Organised and able to manage competing priorities
*A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
