Shift pattern: Alternating shifts of 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00
You may also be required to work additional shift patterns, including weekends, to cover absence and holidays. This role may include overtime at short notice.

About the role
The Recycling Team Member is a hands-on role is all about keeping our site safe, clean and running smoothly by ensuring waste is removed from all areas of the factory in a timely and responsible way.
You’ll work largely unsupervised, taking ownership of your area while delivering a consistently high standard of service. The role can be physically demanding at times, so adaptability, resilience and a positive approach are essential.

What will you be doing?
* Removing waste safely across the site
Clearing waste from all factory areas using material handling equipment and following safe systems of work
* Operating waste and recycling equipment
Using balers and compaction equipment to process recyclable and non-recyclable materials
* Supporting recycling operations
Assisting drivers and other Recycling team colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations
* Managing recyclable materials
Baling recyclable waste and loading baled materials directly onto trailers
* Maintaining clean and tidy waste areas
Keeping recycling zones organised, safe and compliant with hygiene standards

With a good understanding of CoSHH and manual handling requirements
* The ability to work independently
Managing your workload effectively while communicating clearly with others
* A flexible and reliable approach
Including willingness to work additional shifts, overtime and weekends when required
* The physical capability for a hands-on role
Comfortable with tasks that involve lifting, moving materials and time on your feet
* Experience with material handling equipment
Counterbalance FLT and ride-on truck experience is ideal, though training will be provided for the right candidate
