Transition Accountant needed to work hybrid Paying £45,091 per annum ref 5294840
Full time hours on a fixed term 6 month contract


Key Responsibilities*Lead and deliver all finance-related activities required for go-live
*Design, configure, test, and embed financial systems, processes, controls, and governance arrangements
*Ensure robust financial reporting and budget management frameworks are in place
*Support finance system changes and transition activities associated with organisational restructure
*Lead finance input into cutover planning and early post-go-live stabilisation
*Work collaboratively across services and with multiple stakeholders to deliver a successful transition
*Operate at pace within a fixed-term, delivery-focused environment
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential)*CCAB-qualified accountant or equivalent experience
*Strong experience in financial accounting within local government, housing, ALMO, or a similar public sector environment
*Proven experience supporting finance system changes, restructures, or organisational transitions
*Strong technical understanding of:*Chart of accounts design
*Reconciliations
*Financial controls
*Financial reporting

*Experience of working across complex stakeholder environments and organisational boundaries
*Ability to work at pace in a time-limited, outcomes-focused role
