Deputy Nursery Manager
Location: Cambridge (CB1 - 20-minute walk from the train station)
Salary: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (Experience/Qualification dependent)
Working Hours: 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday (Permanent)
Are you an experienced Early Years practitioner looking to take the next step in your leadership career? We are a thriving, high-quality nursery in the heart of Cambridge looking for a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join an amazing school.
The RoleThis is a unique and varied leadership role that offers a perfect balance between frontline practice and management. The successful candidate will work across a 5-day week with a structured split:
*3 Days: Room-based, leading by example and supporting the team in providing excellent care.
*1 Day: Dedicated to Special Educational Needs (SEN) coordination and support.
*1 Day: Leadership and management time to assist the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operations.
Requirements*Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
*Experience: Previous experience in a leadership or senior role within a nursery setting is highly preferred.
*Specialism: Experience or a strong interest in SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) duties is an advantage.
*Attributes: A proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of EYFS requirements.
About the SettingOur nursery provides a warm and stimulating environment for up to 57 children across three specialized rooms: Baby, Toddler, and Preschool. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive atmosphere for both children and staff.
