Interim Finance Business Partner (Opex) - FinTech

We’re partnering with a high-growth, Fintech business to appoint an Interim Finance Business Partner with a strong Opex and cost management focus. This is a key role supporting senior stakeholders with budgeting, forecasting and cost control across multiple business areas.

You’ll operate in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, taking ownership of operating expenditure planning and providing clear, actionable insight to drive financial performance and discipline.

This position is centred around Opex ownership, cost control and financial planning, working closely with budget holders and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities include:
*Leading Opex budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple cost centres
*Delivering detailed monthly cost reporting, variance analysis and commentary
*Partnering with department heads to challenge spend, identify efficiencies and improve cost control
*Supporting long-range planning and scenario modelling for operating expenditure
*Providing insight into cost drivers, risks and opportunities
*Improving reporting, processes and financial visibility across Opex
*Supporting transformation and cost optimisation initiatives

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong Opex, FP&A and business partnering experience.

You’ll likely have:
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
*Proven experience managing Opex budgets in a complex, international environment
*Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
*Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders on cost performance
*Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar
*A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach

This is high-impact role with ownership of significant Opex spend. You will have the opportunity to drive real cost efficiencies and influence decision-making.
