Job Description:
Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)
Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + benefits
A leading Financial Services organisation is embarking on an ambitious growth and transformation journey and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join its expanding team.
Reporting into the FP&A function, you will combine core financial planning and analysis with strong business partnering, advanced financial modelling, and a focus on automation and reporting improvement.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
*Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
*Provide high-quality insight to support senior leadership decisions
*Develop and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs
*Act as a key finance partner to senior and operational stakeholders
*Present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
*Support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives
*Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive finance processes
*Drive continuous improvement across FP&A systems, tools, and ways of working
*Build and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
*Use advanced Excel and analytical techniques to enhance insight and decision-making
*Collaborate with IT and business teams on system improvements and data integration
*Support finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives

Key Skill and Experience
*Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
*Proven experience in an FP&A or Financial Analyst role within Financial Services is essential
*Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance reporting
*Demonstrable experience partnering with senior, non-financial stakeholders
*Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability
*Experience improving reporting efficiency and automating finance processes
*Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working with complex data
