Residential Senior Support Workers required for Children’s Homes in West Midlands
We have several Organisations across West Midlands searching for Senior Support Workers
They all encourage and will provide opportunities for training and progression.
Shift swill normal be 2 on 4 off including some weekends however flexibility is necessary.

Senior Support Workers £14.50-£15.50 per hour depending on experience and Organisation
You will be expected to sleep in after some of your shifts at an extra £50-£70 depending on the Organisation
We require staff for our new 3 Bed home supporting 11- 18 years with EBD
Senior Support Worker Duties include
• Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
• Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
• Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes
• Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
• Supporting the young person to engage in education
• Ensuring their health needs are met
• Providing advice, support and guidance
• Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
• Administering and recording medication
• Maintaining daily records and administrative work
• Contributing to the care planning process
• Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team
• Attending mandatory training
• Engaging in team meetings
• Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)

Senior Support Worker Requirements
Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;
*Able to work Full time
*A full UK driving license ( preferred )
*Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
*An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
*You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins
*Experience working and supporting 6-18 year old with EBD, challenging behaviour and complex care.
*You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
*Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children’s)
