Job Description:
Simple Recruitment are looking for a HR Administrator for a 12-month FTC opportunity with our client in Bradford on Avon.
The Job:
The HR Administrator provides efficient, comprehensive support across all HR administrative activities, ensuring accurate management of employee lifecycle processes. This fixed-term role supports a busy HR team by delivering timely information and guidance to managers and employees, maintaining high standards of HR records and systems, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Acting with tact, discretion and professionalism, the HR Administrator supports employee engagement, communicates company policies clearly, and builds positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, contributing to an effective and compliant HR function.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration, including advertising roles, managing applications, preparing shortlists and arranging interviews.
Support pre-employment checks and onboarding processes, including:
*Issuing offer letters, contracts and new starter documentation
*Setting up new starters on the HR system
*Obtaining and verifying references
*Liaising with IT to ensure equipment and access are ready for day one
*Coordinating inductions with line managers
Employee Lifecycle Administration
Process changes to terms, conditions and pay, including system updates and documentation.
Administer maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave.
Manage leaver processes, including:
*Processing resignations and retirements
*Calculating outstanding annual leave
*Checking training agreements and salary sacrifice schemes
*Liaising with IT for asset returns
*Notifying HR Officer regarding exit interviews
*Attend monthly payroll meetings to ensure accurate employee data and entitlements.
*Maintain HR system records, including sickness and annual leave
*Monitor and process training data for compliance and audit purposes
Performance and Development Support
*Support administration of quarterly meetings, ensuring timely reviews and record keeping
*Support probation reviews, including tracking dates and issuing confirmation letters
*Assist with the design, delivery and evaluation of training and development initiatives
Compliance and Systems
*Coordinate HR admin projects (e.g. contract updates, job description reviews)
*Maintain organised personnel records (electronic and paper)
*Provide first-line support for HR system users
*Stay up to date with HR legislation and best practice, sharing updates with the team
General HR Support
*Organise meetings for Senior Management and Board, including minute taking
*Respond to HR enquiries from employees, ex-employees and external organisations, escalating when needed
*Contribute to quarterly staff newsletters
*Support ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives
*Ensure all activities comply with legislation, policies and procedures
About you:
*CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) or equivalent experience
*Knowledge of HR policies and employment legislation and proven experience in an HR administrative role
*Good standard of education, including English and Maths
*Strong IT skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
*Knowledge of general office procedure and practices
*Experience producing and maintaining accurate, confidential employment and contractual records
*Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
*Ability to work independently using initiative, while taking direction when required
*Strong verbal and written communication skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
The Salary:
Up to £28,000 per annum DOE
The Hours:
Monday to Friday
8.30am to 5.00pm
