Job Description:
Join a specialist credit team responsible for assessing, underwriting, and monitoring lending exposure across Energy, Metals, Mining and Renewables - supporting live transactions and portfolio management across EMEA. It combines detailed fundamental credit analysis and close interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

Description
*Prepare fundamental credit analysis to support new lending, live transactions, facility renewals, and annual reviews.
*Manage and monitor an individual credit portfolio, developing deep counterparty and sector expertise over time.
*Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis, including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and downside scenarios.
*Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring, identifying emerging risks and assessing risk/return trade offs.
*Participate in credit due diligence for new clients, transactions, and key risk events.
*Make recommendations on internal credit ratings, structures, and transaction proposals.
*Work closely with front office, legal and risk stakeholders to assess documentation, structure, and credit protections.
*Contribute to sector and country research, with a particular focus on Energy, Metals, Mining and Renewables.
Profile
A successful Associate - Credit Analyst should have:
*Experience in fundamental credit analysis gained within a bank, asset manager, rating agency or private credit environment, ideally transaction driven.
*Experience in commodities Credit Risk is preferred.
*A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
*Exposure to investment grade and sub-investment grade counterparties.
*Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting and cash flow modelling.
*Understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
*Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, are advantageous.
