Job Description:
Bank Senior Radiographers – MRI and General
Cheshire, The Wilmslow Hospital
Shift times: 12-hour shifts between 07:00 and 20:00 Monday - Sunday
Permanent
Rate of pay: £26-£36 per hour
***Rates inclusive of WTR include indicative additional amount separately payable on claiming accrued annual leave. WTR is calculated on the average hourly pay rate over the preceding 52 weeks and may therefore differ from the amount included in the above WTR rates***
We’re looking for dynamic MRI and General Radiographers to support the growing Imaging services at The Wilmslow Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.
At The Wilmslow Hospital we undertake a wide variety of MRI scans on our Siemens Skyra 3T scanner, including MSK sports imaging, Abdominal, Pelvic, Oncology, Neuro and Breast imaging. We also have a busy general X-ray department where the team support all service lines, including our brand new private minor injuries service and intraoperative imaging for orthopaedic theatre cases.
MRI Radiographer Duties & responsibilities:
*Undertake MRI imaging procedures to a high standardin line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols
*Maintain competence in general X-ray as required
*Ensure exceptional communication is maintained with the team to deliver a smooth-running service
*Deal with day-to-day queries, liaising with appropriate support functions where required to resolve the queries within a reasonable timeframe
*Provide compassionate patient centred care
*Undertake all examinations efficiently and to a high standard ensuring safety of patients at all times
*Assist with the booking of appointments and work closely with the Radiologists
*Undertake weekend working where required to support the service
*Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
General Radiographer Duties & responsibilities:
*Skilfully undertake a wide range of accurate diagnostic imaging procedures by operating Imaging equipment in accordance with operational procedures.
*Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency.
*To rotate between areas as required.
*Solid experience in the general imaging department including theatres
*Comply with radiation safety and compliance for General X-Ray and theatre
What you’ll bring:
*HCPC registration
*Degree or equivalent in Radiography
*Considerable experience (2 years+) in MRI
*Experience in Plain Film, Theatre Imaging
*Skills in both MRI and Plain Film would be highly desirable
