Part-Time Teacher of French
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Contract: Part-time
Start date: September 2026
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of French to join our successful Modern Foreign Languages department at a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Chelmsford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality language teaching and inspiring a love of French among young people.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
· Teach French across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience welcomed but not essential)
· Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
· Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
· Contribute positively to the MFL department and wider school community
· Uphold high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and professional standards
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
· Strong subject knowledge and a passion for French and languages
· The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
· Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
