*Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office)

About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Children in Care Team, you will hold a varied caseload of children subject to care proceedings, long-term care, and permanence planning. You will play a key role in ensuring positive outcomes for children by delivering high-quality, child-centred social work practice.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a caseload of children in care, including those in care proceedings and long-term placements
*Undertake direct work with children, capturing their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences
*Complete life story work and produce life story books
*Develop, review, and update care plans in line with statutory requirements
*Prepare and present high-quality reports for Children in Care reviews and court proceedings
*Work collaboratively with carers, families, and multi-agency professionals including IROs, Guardians, Health, and Education
*Participate in permanence planning to achieve the best outcomes for children
Essential Requirements
*Minimum 3+ years post-qualified experience within a UK Local Authority
*Social Work England (SWE) registration
*Proven experience within Children in Care / Looked After Children teams
*Strong experience of court work and report writing
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to rural visits)
