Industrial Buyer – RochdaleRochdale | Manufacturing | Permanent | £40,000 – £44,000 | Working Days, 39 Hours/Week
Our large client, a well-established manufacturing business in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Industrial Buyer to join their Purchasing team. This is a hands-on, key role supporting the central purchasing function, ensuring materials and supplies are delivered to the correct specification, quantity, and price to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities*Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices, quality, and stock levels

*Manage supplier performance and ensure KPIs are met and improved

*Oversee Purchase Order system (MRP) and associated ordering processes

*Collaborate with other departments to evaluate goods and services

*Resolve supplier discrepancies with Accounts and take corrective action where necessary

*Review supplier value to maintain competitiveness

*Provide cover for the Senior Buyer when required

About You*5+ years’ buying/procurement experience, including 3+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment

*Experience working in an MRP environment (EFACS experience advantageous)

*Strong track record of negotiating with large/global suppliers

*Educated to A-Level or degree standard; CIPS Level 4 Diploma or working towards MCIPS

*Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) and full UK driving licence

*Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
