Role Overview
Join a Tier-1 US Banking Giant within their high-performing Regulatory Reporting Business-as-Usual (BAU) team. Based in the heart of Canary Wharf, this role is critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the bank’s financial reporting to key UK and EU regulators.
As a Qualified Accountant , you will leverage your technical expertise to manage complex data sets, interpret evolving regulations, and provide robust oversight of the reporting lifecycle. This is a pivotal role for a professional looking to influence the financial stability and compliance of a global market leader.
Key Responsibilities *Production & Submission: Oversee the end-to-end production and timely submission of key regulatory returns (e.g., COREP, FINREP, and BoE statistical reporting).
*Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure all reporting remains compliant with PRA and FCA requirements, staying ahead of CRR II/III and Basel 3.1 developments.
*Analytical Review: Perform rigorous variance analysis and "storytelling" on monthly and quarterly movements to provide insights to senior management and global stakeholders.
*Process Optimization: Drive the automation of manual processes and enhance the control environment to reduce operational risk.
*Audit & Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, as well as providing technical guidance to Treasury and Risk teams.
Candidate RequirementsEssential Qualifications *Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA - or equivalent ): We are looking for a professional with post-qualification experience,
*Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UK/EU regulatory frameworks (CRR/CRD).
Technical Skills *Advanced Data Handling: Proficiency in Excel is a must; experience with SQL, Alteryx, or Axiom is highly advantageous.
*Analytical Rigour: Ability to dissect complex financial data and translate it into clear, concise regulatory reports.
Soft Skills *Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with global teams and senior executives.
*Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strict regulatory deadlines.
