A school is seeking a Temporary Payroll Officer to join their finance team on a part-time basis (28 hours per week) from May until initially the end of August. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
The role will be primarily office-based in Bromley, with the opportunity for occasional home working once fully up to speed.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Processing high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently
*Completing credit card reconciliations and associated postings
*Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries
*Supporting the preparation of weekly payment runs
*Maintaining supplier records and ensuring data accuracy
*Assisting with audit requests and providing supporting documentation
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks
The successful candidate will have:
*Essential: Experience working within schools or academies
*Strong accounts payable experience within a fast-paced environment
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
*The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
