Junior Engineer
£28,000–£32,000
Full-time | Permanent | Monday–Friday
We’re supporting a well-established engineering business in recruiting a Junior Engineer to join their growing technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CAD skills who wants to develop their engineering career and gain hands-on experience producing accurate technical drawings and supporting wider engineering projects.
As a Junior Engineer, you’ll work closely with experienced engineers and CAD technicians, helping to deliver high-quality technical design work across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Support engineers by turning concepts into clear technical design schematics.
• Update and revise CAD drawings in line with project changes.
• Ensure all technical drawings meet internal standards and quality requirements.
• Assist with preparing documentation for ongoing engineering projects.
• Attend team meetings and provide updates on CAD progress.
• Maintain organised project files and documentation.
• Support with problem-solving and adjustments to design proposals.
About You
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with experience producing CAD drawings.
• Experience creating or managing Dynamic Block libraries an advantage.
• Confident using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
• Experience with additional CAD or engineering software is beneficial.
