School Medical Needs Coordinator
Tower Hamlets, East London
Full Time (Term Time Only)
We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Medical Needs Coordinator to join a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a vital role at the heart of the school, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students.
About the RoleYou will take the lead on all medical provision within the school, supporting students with a wide range of health needs and ensuring effective systems are in place for first aid, medication, and care planning.
Key Responsibilities*Lead and coordinate all medical needs across the school
*Maintain accurate student health records and care plans
*Act as the school’s lead first aider, responding to incidents and emergencies
*Manage and monitor medication held on site
*Work closely with parents, staff, and external healthcare professionals
*Deliver first aid training and support staff development
*Complete risk assessments for pupils with medical conditions
*Support safeguarding teams and contribute to student wellbeing initiatives
*Ensure medical needs are planned for school trips and activities
About You*Experienced in first aid and confident responding to medical situations
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Able to work calmly under pressure
*A strong communicator who can work effectively with staff, students, and families
*Committed to supporting the wellbeing of young people
