Job Description:
FirstAchieve are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our global engineering parnter, specialising in the overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for stable hours and competitive pay.
Position Details:
*Role: Mechanical Fitter
*Hours: 37 hours per week
*Pay Rate: £23 per hour
*Type: Full-time, permanent
Key Responsibilities:
*Overhaul, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
*Fault finding, diagnostics, and precision fitting
*Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
*Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
*Working both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with rotating equipment
*Apprenticeship served or time-served mechanical fitter
*Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills
*Ability to work from technical drawings
*Attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Relevant engineering qualifications (preferred but not essential)
