Floating Support Worker Location: SW8 1SJ
Pay Rate: £14.89 per hour + Holiday Pay
Contract: Temporary (with potential extension)
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri)
OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Floating Support Worker to join a dynamic service supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in housing and support work to make a real impact within the community.
Key Responsibilities*Manage a caseload of up to 27 clients, delivering regular key working sessions
*Develop and review personalised support plans and risk assessments
*Provide housing advice to help clients sustain tenancies
*Support clients with independent living skills including budgeting, bills, and tenancy management
*Assist clients transitioning from temporary to permanent accommodation
*Liaise with local authorities, housing providers, and external agencies
*Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports
*Support access to employment, education, and community activities
RequirementsTo apply, you must have:
*Experience working as a Floating Support Worker or within a similar support setting
*Strong understanding of complex needs including substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, offending behaviour, and domestic violence
*Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a client-centred environment
*Ability to carry out risk assessments and develop effective support plans
*Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management processes
*Experience supporting clients with budgeting, benefits, and housing issues
*Ability to work within a recovery-focused and strengths-based approach
*Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple agencies
*Good IT skills for case recording and report writing
