A leading national accountancy and advisory firm is looking to appoint an Expatriate Tax Manager to join its growing Global Mobility team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of international clients, supporting individuals and businesses with cross-border tax matters.
The Role
As an Expatriate Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of internationally mobile employees and their employers, ensuring compliance while delivering high-quality advisory services.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing a portfolio of expatriate and internationally mobile clients
*Reviewing UK and overseas personal tax returns
*Advising on residence, domicile, and cross-border tax issues
*Supporting clients with double taxation matters and tax treaty application
*Advising employers on global mobility policies, including tax equalisation and assignment structures
*Overseeing payroll obligations, including shadow payroll and reporting requirements
*Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
*Leading and mentoring junior team members
*Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
About You*CTA / ATT / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*Strong experience in expatriate tax / global mobility within practice
*Good understanding of UK personal tax and international tax principles
*Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory work
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
*Organised and able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
