Job Description:
An Audit Director opportunity in Central London with a 4-Partner Chartered Accountancy Practice, offering a route to become Partner and RI status.

This is a well-established 4-partner firm based in Central London, offering audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory services to a broad client base. Their portfolio includes owner-managed businesses, UK subsidiaries of international groups, charities, and professional services firms.
The firm prides itself on delivering a partner-led, high-quality service with a strong commercial focus, maintaining long-standing client relationships and a collaborative internal culture. With a clear vision for the future and their succession planning, they are now looking to appoint an Audit Director.
The Role
As an Audit Director in Central London, the role will take full responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients while playing a leadership role within the firm. The role will suit someone who has ambitions to become an RI or someone who already holds RI status.
*Overall responsibility for the firms audit portfolio
*Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with (UK) and FRC standards
*Reviewing work, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to internal quality control procedures
*Managing and developing relationships with clients, providing proactive commercial and technical advice
*Supporting audit quality, including internal monitoring and preparation for external reviews (e.g. ICAEW QAD)
*Mentoring and developing Audit staff
*Supporting partners with business development, tenders, and growth initiatives
*Contributing to audit methodology, compliance processes, and wider firm strategy
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will be a technically strong and commercially aware individual looking to take on a senior leadership role in Central London. The candidate should be at least operating at Senior Manager level, though ideally they would be at Director or Partner Designate level already.
*ACA or ACCA qualified with at least a practising certificate
*Significant post-qualified experience in external audit
*Strong experience working with SMEs, OMBs, and UK subsidiaries
*Excellent knowledge of ISA (UK), FRS 102, IFRS, and the Companies Act
*Proven experience leading audits and reviewing team members’ work
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
*Commercial mindset with an interest in contributing to firm growth
*Able to work full time in a Central London location with some flexibility on offer
Desirable:
*Experience with audit software such as CaseWare, CCH, Mercia, or MyWorkpapers
*Exposure to charity, LLP, or pension scheme audits
*Interest in long-term progression and partnership
