We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will be working in the Building Operating Unit to take a leading role in the successful delivery of major and highly complex construction projects, typically valued at £150m+ and involving multiple plots and demanding stakeholder environments. As the Project Director’s trusted second-in-command, you will help shape the delivery of exceptional projects, driving progress, protecting programme and budget, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for the client, end users, and local communities. Data centre experience preferred.
Please note this role will initially be based at Moorgate, London, relocating to Slough, Berkshire where the role will be site-based 5 days/week.
As the Construction Director, you will:
*Support and deputise for the Project Director as required, with assistance from the senior project team.
*Lead and influence the contract programme, delivery strategy, target programme adjustments, and package breakdown in collaboration with the Project Director, Planning Manager, and Commercial Lead.
*Define and implement construction methodology to meet project requirements, championing Modern Methods of Construction and Design for Manufacture and Assembly to improve productivity and efficiency.
*Ensure the master programme and deliverables schedule meet the brief and client expectations.
*Develop and deliver the contract programme with the Planning, Design, and Commercial leads.
We are looking for:
*Extensive experience delivering building projects valued at £150m+.
*Proven background in the building sector as a Senior Project Manager/Construction Director on major build projects; data centre experience preferred.
*Strong understanding of programme management and sequencing within the commercial/mixed-use/data centre sector.
*Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams during project delivery phase.
*Able to share construction expertise, lead confidently, and set a strong example for the team.
