Business Development Manager
Location: National / Sheffield (office) / Home
£40,000–£50,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Car
Are you a motivated, results-driven sales professional who thrives on autonomy and building strong client relationships? This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, friendly, and people-focused organisation, operating across the UK.
This role offers genuine ownership of your territory, the chance to build and develop your own portfolio, and the opportunity to maximise your earnings through an uncapped commission structure.
You’ll be field-based, managing your own schedule and working independently to grow a robust customer base. Supported by an internal team of account managers, you’ll be free to focus on what you do best – winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.
The position includes a comprehensive 6–8 week onboarding programme at the Sheffield head office. Following this, you’ll spend one day per month in the office, with the flexibility to manage your time between travelling to meet clients nationwide and working from home.

Key responsibilities include:
*Building and managing your own portfolio across the UK
*Proactively contacting cold accounts, lapsed customers, and new prospects
*Developing relationships through networking and industry exhibitions
*Identifying opportunities within sectors such as printing and manufacturing
*Promoting new released products to new and existing accounts
*Maintaining accurate records, pulling customer history, and producing weekly reports
*Reporting directly to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis
About You
*A self-starter who is motivated, organised, and confident working independently
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Proven sales experience working in a field based sales role taking ownership of your territory
*Comfortable managing your own schedule and working in a field-based role
*Experience working within the print industry or selling to print customers would be desirable but is not essential
