Job Description:
Assistant Management AccountantSalary: Up to £34,000
Location: North Birmingham (Hybrid working)
An established organisation based in North Birmingham is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role offering strong exposure across month-end accounting, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement within a collaborative finance environment.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments, journals, cost allocations and reconciliations
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Support and delivery of month-end close activities
*Management of multiple bank accounts, including weekly bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
*Support with foreign currency transactions
*Preparation and support for statutory and regulatory submissions, including VAT returns, P11Ds and other required filings
*Reporting and analysis
*Support the wider Finance team during audit cycles
About You*AAT qualified
*Relevant accounting or finance experience
*Able to work proactively and independently, as well as collaboratively within a team
*Comfortable taking ownership of tasks with a high level of complexity
*Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills
*Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
