Job Description:
City + Capital are currently representing a growing and innovative specialist Real Estate finance lender who have retained our services to appoint a motivated and ambitious Investor Relations Associate, at an exciting stage of growth for the business.
The Company
Our client is a growing and forward-thinking real estate finance lender who operate an innovative investment platform that allows retail investment partners to achieve their returns on the UK property finance sector.
At their heart, they support property investors and developers with access to debt for key property developments and investment portfolios. To achieve this, they operate a number of funding models, including with large institutional funding partners.
The business has developed a strong presence within the specialist finance space, combining lending expertise with an evolving investment offering. Their platform enables investors to participate in a variety of real estate-backed transactions, contributing to a well-rounded and differentiated proposition in the market.
Culturally, the firm is dynamic, collaborative and driven by innovation, with a strong emphasis on delivering positive outcomes for clients and investors alike.
With continued expansion across both lending activity and investor engagement, they are now looking to strengthen their Investor Relations team with the appointment of a Investor Relations Associate.
Role Overview
This is a multi-faceted role with plenty of variety and all training will be given.
You will act as a key point of contact for investors, managing inbound queries and maintaining strong, long-term relationships. Alongside this, you will support investor communications through regular updates, reporting and engagement initiatives, ensuring a high-quality and consistent experience.
A key part of the role will involve managing the onboarding process for new investors, including KYC and AML checks, documentation and allocations, as well as maintaining accurate records across CRM systems.
You will also play an active role in capital raising efforts, supporting outbound engagement, campaign execution, preparation of marketing materials and investor events.
You will also ensure the investment department is well administrated, tracking investor activity, including inflows, redemptions and pipeline, alongside producing internal reports to support strategic decision making.
The position will also provide exposure to broader business initiatives, including process improvements, new product launches and investor acquisition strategies.
Ultimately, the ideal individual for this role will be someone who has some experience in real estate finance lending, financial services or investment management. Our client is also willing to consider individuals who are not from this background, but that believe they have the skills required to build & grow in the role.
Candidate Requirements
• 1–3 years’ experience within financial services, sales or a client-facing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage a range of stakeholders
• Well organised, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work
• Commercially aware, with an interest in markets, investments or financial products
• Comfortable using core business systems & quick to learn new platforms
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, personable approach with a focus on building relationships
• Exposure to investor-facing environments would be advantageous, but not critical
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay to c£35k as a basic salary, relevant to experience. Higher offers may be considered for exceptional talent.
Notably, this is also a role that comes with additional opportunity to progress, once excellent performance is delivered. Our client is renowned for their strong and proven promote from within policy & they feel that due to the planned growth of the business, the ideal individual may be able to propel salary & career standing forward within, as they move in to more senior investor management roles.
Next Steps
There is a reasonable amount of urgency to fill this position in line with current growth plans.
Due to the nature of the role and opportunity, it is not expected to be on the market for long.
